The only way to make sure that no one will access your data is to encrypt it. Thus, no one will be able to see your sensitive information, unless they provide the correct password. To make it a swift process, you can use EncryptOnClick. It will lock and password protect any file or folder. Like the name suggests, this can be done with only a few clicks.

The application is part of a larger suite, designed to perform advanced tasks with minimum effort from the user. EncryptOnClick is freeware, which means that you can use it for free without any restrictions or limitations. It will take less than a minute to download the 1.27 Mb kit, with an average Internet connection and the installation process is just as fast.

The application features a very small interface, with only four buttons to click on. The ones on the left can be used to encrypt a file or an entire folder and the ones on the right can be used for the opposite task: decrypting them. After clicking one of these buttons, you will have to browse for a file or a folder in a separate window, after which the program will ask you to insert a password. In a few seconds, the selected files will be encrypted.

You can spot the protected files in Windows Explorer and due to that, their icons will be changed. If you attempt to access them, the program will launch automatically and it will prompt for the password. Decrypting data can be done exactly the same way. You have to load the files, type your password and in a few seconds, the process will be done.

Pros

The interface is very lightweight. It will block access to any files and you only have to click a few buttons to do this.

Cons

While you can encrypt multiple files at once, you cannot encrypt the folder itself. Using EncryptOnClick, you can block access to any file on local or removable storage device. Unless the correct password is provided, the data will be inaccessible.
